How does it work?

When you select a skill from your predictive models, three questions are automatically generated based on the following elements:

  • The selected skill: including its precise definition.
  • The job associated with the model used and its level of difficulty (job level).
  • The tone of voice defined for the company.
  • The description of the company, allowing you to customize the content to the values and context of your organization.

You can also generate a customized skill if the ones offered do not meet your expectations:

Generation language:

Questions are first generated in the user's (recruiter's) language, then the selected question is automatically translated by AI into all languages supported by our platform.

For now, Voice is only available in English, French and Dutch. Other languages will be available soon.

Custom question

You can also define your own custom question. This allows you to write a specific question directly if you wish.

Expected level

You can also indicate the expected level of proficiency for the skill being assessed.
A scale of 5 levels is available:

  • 🟢 Basic
  • 🟡 Intermediate
  • 🔵 Competent
  • 🟣 Advanced
  • 🔴 Expert

⚠️ Please note: the level selected has no impact on the automatic generation of questions. Regardless of the selection, the same three questions will be offered.

Analyzing language skills

This feature allows you to assess foreign language proficiency using a library of predefined, psychometrically validated questions.

Question selection logic

When you select a language to assess, three generic questions are automatically proposed from a list of 12, based on:

  • The tone of voice defined for your company

These questions are not generated by AI: they have been pre-calculated and validated by AssessFirst to ensure a reliable and consistent assessment of language proficiency.

You can shuffle the questions to browse through the 12 available and select the one that best suits your needs.

If none of these questions are suitable, you can write your own question.

  • The recruiter sees the question in their own language, so they can understand it properly.
  • But the question is asked to the candidate in the language being assessed, in order to measure their actual ability to express themselves in that language.

You can indicate the expected language level according to the official CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) scale, from A1 (beginner) to C2 (proficiency).

⚠️ The level selected does not affect the questions asked: they remain the same regardless of the selection ⚠️
